My name is Kenny Corder, and Morgan County has always been home.
I am a husband, a father, a combat veteran with more than 21 years of service, and a small business owner. I was raised in the home of an educator, which gave me an early appreciation for education, responsibility, and service.
I’ve been asked a simple question: Why are you running?
The answer is straightforward. Like many families here, our lives revolve around our children, their education, and the values we hope to pass on to them. The decisions made at the board level affect students, families, teachers, and communities in real and lasting ways. Those decisions deserve steady leadership, clear communication, and the courage to make thoughtful choices, even when doing what’s right means being the one voice willing to stand alone.
Through years of leadership and responsibility, I have learned the importance of listening first, asking the right questions, and carefully weighing the impact of decisions before they are made. I want to be a steady, common-sense voice for parents, students, teachers, and staff, and to help ensure our schools remain places where children are safe, supported, and prepared for what comes next.
I would be honored to represent District #6 on the Morgan County Board of Education and to serve our community with honesty, transparency, and a commitment to students and their families in every decision we make.
